"Sam is fine," Vikings mentor Mike Zimmer said with respect to his harmed quarterback, Sam Bradford, after Sunday's diversion. "He may play one amusement from now, he may play a month and a half from now. In any case, he's fine."

Sounds like twofold talk, yet we should endeavor to understand this in view of what we know.

Bradford had two past ACL surgeries (2013 and '14). He endured no intense new damage in last Monday's season opener. He had his best amusement in a while that night, a diversion he wrapped up. A MRI this week demonstrated the ACL is in place. There are reports of scarring.

When warming up on the field before Sunday's diversion, Bradford was seen with a slight flexion contracture (knee doesn't fix the distance), limp and supporting the knee.

What does this mean? It implies what Zimmer is stating really can bode well.

He is stating Bradford is fine in the huge picture. His ACL is OK, there is no meniscus tear and no issue with scarring that requirements surgery.

He can't make certain when Bradford will play once more, since he can't foresee when the swelling will go down. The probability is the swelling is because of wear and tear of ligament, as is regular after the injury of two ACL surgeries.

It is likely Bradford will get a cortisone or other infusion to quiet down the knee.

He will be prepared to go when the swelling is controlled.
