Total solar eclipse covering 14 countries from Oregon to South Carolina. The path of totality here is just a small piece of 67 miles wide as it stretches from coast to coast.

Totality begins in Oregon at 10:16 morning PT That ends in Charleston at 2:48 pm ET. That's only about 90 minutes to eclipse to cross the country.


Between the beach, the Eclipse will pass through Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

If you are not one of the citizens of Oregon, Idaho, Kentucky, South Carolina or one of the other areas in the "path of totality", there's always the TV, and online applications.

USA TODAY network will feature the Eclipse Live from multiple locations in the path of totality, starting at the Newport, Oregon, on Monday at 9 a.m. PT.




Most of the nation should be looking at weather fairly quiet Monday, with polka cloudiest and rainiest potentially in the Upper Midwest, and the Southeast. Low clouds in the morning can fill the sky in the coastal region of Washington, Oregon and California.

Most of the rest of the West has to have clear sky or most clear to see, especially in Eastern Oregon, Idaho and Wyoming eclipse. One warning: smoke and haze from forest fires could take the edge off look at conditions there.
